el Pequeno Colibri imports and retails hand-made Peruvian textiles, pottery, and jewelry by indigenous and often Unesco-certified artisans, with the mission of uplifting and celebrating the traditions of artesanía.
Project Overview
An artist and craftsperson herself, this client wanted a brand that reflected the human and hand-wrought qualities of the Peruvian art and products her business promoted and sold. Understanding her deep appreciation and investment in the folk art of indigenous artisans, I wanted to create a colorful, rich and textured environment that would accurately represent the cultural aesthetic, while also using white space and other modern details to acknowledge and communicate the quality of craftsmanship.
